What
is striking about Jasana Crowie is that she is well familiar with
the competitive world of commercial art and yet, in the paintings
for this exhibition she concentrates in nature: flowers and parks.
The link between these two seemingly opposing activities and inspirations,
however, is the iconic quality of her paintings. Objects, flowers
are not just realistic, they acquire a surreal quality by their
brightness, they become objects to be cherished.
